Science in Nursing
Eligibility Requirements for U.S. applicants:
(additional requirements may apply to international students).
1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a college or university
accredited by a nursing accreditation agency approved by the Department
of Education
2. Possess a current, unencumbered registered nurse license or be
eligible for RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin or multi-state
compact
3. Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate physical assessment
course or equivalent
4. Verification of active engagement in the practice of nursing
for a minimum of one year or 2080 hours
5. Submission of a two-part essay that demonstrates your ability
to:
a. Describe a learning experience
that had a significant impact
b. Articulate your educational goals and describe how Alverno’s
MSN program will help you to assume a role as a Nurse Educator and/or Clinical Nurse Specialist
