Weekday
College for Adult and Transfer Students
Weekday College courses are offered Monday through
Friday primarily during the day, although occasional evening courses
are available. Students can attend Weekday College full-time (12
- 18 credits) or part-time (less than 12 credits). Courses are conducted
in bigger blocks of time fewer days of the week to accommodate busy
schedules and those who may be working and attending school.
Adult and transfer students find Alverno a comfortable
learning environment, in part, because there are so many women of
similar age and background. They also share their professional and/or
educational experiences in hands-on, discussion-oriented classrooms.
Approximately 1775 students attend Weekday College. They are diverse
in age, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. Ages range from
18 to 64, with the average age of 24. Most students come from the
Milwaukee area; however, Alverno has students from as far away as
California, Texas and Florida.
