Each year, Alverno College hosts a Holocaust Remembrance Service to coincide with the national day of recognition. The touching service is coordinated by Sue DaBaco, manager for Alverno’s print services, who generously volunteers her time to make the event a reality. This year, the remembrance date fell on April 19 and featured Holocaust survivor Raye David. More than 1,000 people – Alverno faculty, students, staff, as well as local elementary and high school students – filled Pitman Theatre to hear David speak about her story of loss, hope and survival.
