I teach courses in U.S. history, modern world history and Latin American history. One of my favorite courses to teach is my course on the U.S. in the 1960s because I start each class session with music from the decade. My research interests are primarily U.S. foreign relations and U.S. political history. I also teach a course on U.S. foreign relations since 1945. Modern world history is another exciting course for me to teach because I find that today’s college students are very interested in learning about and traveling to other parts of the world. I authored Saving International Capitalism during the Early Truman Presidency, published in 2001 and I have also published numerous articles on teaching history.

HS 308: U.S. History from the Colonial Era to the Civil War
HS 355: U.S. and the World since 1945
