COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS

Roosevelt Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes a first-year student who has demonstrated excellence in leadership. The Roosevelt Scholar will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to Alverno. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 1, 2017. Up to 15 Presidential Scholarships of $60,000 over four years (or $15,000 per year)‌ are awarded to those who apply for the Roosevelt Scholarship but don't receive the scholarship. Apply today: Roosevelt Scholarship Application

Peck Scholar Program: This award is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to Alverno College. It's awarded only every four years to a first-year student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and volunteer activities. The successful applicant will have a past record of leadership, effective citizenship and academic acheievement. Apply today: Peck Scholar Program Application

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

In addition to competitive scholarships, Alverno College offers merit-based academic scholarships. This means they are determined by your past academic success. Academic scholarships are available for students coming directly from high school and transfer students, receiving up to $15,000 per year.

More than 90% of our incoming students receive an academic scholarship and/or grant at the point of admission.

Doherty Scholarship: The Doherty Scholars program recognizes students who have demonstrated academic excellence in high school. They join a learning community of peers and have access to additional resources and opportunities for academic growth and excellence. Doherty Scholars also receive a $2,000 scholarship in addition to the merit-based scholarship awarded upon acceptance. Application for 2018 is now available: Doherty Scholars

CATHOLIC SCHOLARSHIPS

For 130 years, Alverno College has prepared stduents for the next level of excellence within the Franciscan traditions of hope, hospitality, service and faith.

Clare Scholarship: The Clare Scholarship reinforces our commitment to students who understand the multitude of benefits and opportunities provided as a result of a high-caliber, Catholic education. Clare Scholars receive a $13,000 scholarship per year for up to 4 years (8 semesters) at Alverno. Recipients are graduates of any Catholic high school and students with a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.

SPECIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Mossa Scholarship: Recipients of the Mossa Scholarship are non-residents of Wisconsin. The Mossa Scholarship is available to new, weekday students who are enrolled at least half time. Recipients of this scholarship receive a $2,000 scholarship and a $4,000 housing grant.

Legacy Scholarship: Effective for incoming Fall 2017 students and after.  Recipients of the Legacy Scholarship are daughters, granddaughters or nieces of Alverno alumnae. The Legacy Scholarship is available to new, weekday students who are enrolled at least half time. Recipients are eligible to receive a $1,000 per year renewable scholarship.

Not all scholarships are for students coming straight from high school.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship:

This renewable $1,500 transfer scholarship is open to weekday undergraduate students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Eligible students receive $750 per semester.

Alverno College offers merit-based academic scholarships for weekday undergraduate students. This means they are determined by your past academic success. Academic scholarships are available for transfer students, receiving up to $13,000 per year.

SCHOLARSHIP RECOMMENDATIONS

The individuals who you ask to write you a recommendation letter for an internal or institutional scholarship (including faculty/staff) have the option to provide a traditional letter of ‌recommendation or use the ‌Internal Scholarship Recommendation Form.
NOTE: This form is only accepted for internal scholarships.
