At Alverno you have many opportunities to engage and be active in campus life. The Department of Student Activities & Leadership wants you to Live BIG and Get Involved! Get the full college experience by participating in a variety of fun campus events.
Mug & Weekday Series: Every Wednesday night the Mug Series offers comedians, bands, and novelty acts in the Austin Hall Mug Coffeehouse & Cafe. The first Tuesday of each month brings the Weekday Series featuring events like Wax Hands or a photo booth in the commons cafeteria area. All events are FREE and open to students and their friends and family. Check out the 2013 Entertainment Brochure
Campus Traditions: Show your school spirit every October at Homecoming or let your talent shine each spring at the annual Alverno Idol competition. Other campus traditions include BOO! Bash, a family Halloween party; Rotunda Ball, a winter dance; and An Alverno Thanksgiving Dinner.
Community Service: Alverno is committed to civic engagement and giving back to local and global communities. Participate in the St. Ben's Meal program sponsored through Campus Ministry, the Alternative Spring Break trip volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, or sign up for Community Day and give service to one of 30 different social service agencies. Looking for a service site? Check out the 2012 Volunteer Guide to find a volunteer opportunity that’s right for you!
