The Media Hub
Multi-Media Lab
The multi-media lab has 16
computers, CD burners, CD players, VHS video editing suites, a slide
projector, audio recorder and color printer. Students can also digitize
and upload to the Digital Diagnostic Portfolio (DDP) from the stations
located here.
Students may print to either the black and white
or color printer using their student accounts. Color overhead transparences
can also be printed at $1.00 per transparency. Printing from the
black and white printer subtracts 1 page from the students account.
Printing from the color printer subtracts 10 pages from the students
account.
Available software includes: Microsoft Office,
Adobe Premier, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, iMovie,
Studio 8, and Inspiration.
To schedule a class or workshop in the multi-media
lab, contact Joyce Lange at 382-6171.

Video Editing
and iMovie
Using
one of the editing suites or iMovie stations in the multi-media
lab, students, faculty and staff can edit video tapes and produce
a finished product in VHS, CD or DVD formats.
1-hour
block appointments can be made in person in The Media Hub, or over
the phone through The Media Hub information desk at 382-6170. Please
make sure to note if you need training (NT) in the appointment book,
or alert the receptionist to your needs.
When
coming to edit, make sure to bring all of your materials and be
prepared with any text or music you would like to add. Having text
written out, music pre-selected on CD’s, and knowing what
portions of your tape you would like to edit or remove will save
you many headaches.
To contact The Media Hub, call 414-382-6170.
