Assessment
Center
The Assessment Center is a multifaceted department that works closely with students, faculty, staff, and the Southeastern Wisconsin business and professional community to provide services related to assessment at Alverno.
The Assessment Center assists students by administering, assessing, and facilitating assessments, beginning with the Communication level one assessment (Communication Placement Assessment) that each prospective student takes. Throughout her academic career the student continues to interact with the Assessment Center as she participates in a variety of assessments.

Volunteer Assessors
Assisted by volunteer assessors from the community, the Assessment Center staff provides feedback that students can use to improve their performance. The Volunteer Assessor Program, with over 500 assessors from the business and professional community, is also coordinated by the Assessment Center director.
The Center keeps paper, video and digital records of student performances so that students can analyze their own progress. Students have access to work and feedback any place, any time, through the web-based Diagnostic Digital Portfolio.
