2008 Volleyball Season Preview: Challenges Can't Quell Inferno Volleyball's Spirit
MILWAUKEE (08/29/2008) -- The Alverno College women's volleyball team has a multitude of challenges to overcome for the 2008 season as it adjusts to a brand-new coaching staff and a small roster nearly full of first-time college players. Back to Warrior Invite in 2008
MILWAUKEE (06/30/2008) -- The Inferno will head back to the Warrior Invitational to open up the 2008 season. The team partcipated in the invitational for the first time last season when they faced North Central College, Lawrence University, North Park University, and Carroll College.
The team will host Ripon College on Friday, September 5th and will be the home-opener. The match is set to begin at 7:00pm.

Team Awards Announced
MILWAUKEE (05/06/2008) - The volleyball team awards were announced at the annual Alverno College Athletics banquet on May 4th, 2008.
Rebecca Schmid was named the Most Valuable Player. Schmid led the team in kills (257), kills per game (2.65), total attempts (789), and attack percentage (.155).
Selena Hamilton was named Most Improved Player with Sofia Fuentes recieving the Inferno award. |
