Seven Errors on Day Hurts Alverno

(4/23/2008) –  In game one of the doubleheader, errors continued to plague the Inferno.Brianne Porter (Fr., Oak Creek, WI / Oak Creek) took the loss for Alverno, giving up 6 earned runs on 13 hits.  Megan Burgess (Fr., Racine, WI/Park) drove in all 3 Inferno runs and went 2-3 at the plate.  Andrea Spindler (Jr., Greendale, WI/Greendale) and Katie Stoxen (Silver Lake, WI/Burlington Catholic Central) each had 2 hits as well.

 

In the second game, the Inferno bats went quiet as the team mustered one run.  Burgess led the offense again as she tallied 2 hits in the second game.  Porter is tabbed with the loss scattering 12 hits and striking out 4.

 

Alverno will return to action this Friday when they host MSOE at 3pm.
