Sarah Olson (Fr., Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) was named the Alverno College Student-Athlete of the Year. In her first season with the Inferno, Olson shattered the school records in both the 5K and 6K races. In addition to her school records, Olson has been recognized by the Northern Athletics Conference as All-Conference First Team, Rookie of the Year, and Northern Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week during September. She was also named the team's Most Valuable Runner.
Alexandra Salisbury (Sr., St. Francis, Wis./Thomas More) received the Virginia Wagner award. This award is presented to a student-athlete for the extra effort she gives to the athletic program as well as the spirit she exhibits while playing. Salisbury is a four-year letter winner in soccer and basketball.
In its inaugural year, the Sister Margaret Mary Martin Award was presented to Sarah Gruber (Sr., Oak Creek,Wis./Oak Creek). This award celebrates a person that has significantly contributed to the development of Alverno Athletics. The award is named in memory of Sister Margaret Mary Martin the first chair of the physical education department. Gruber is a four-year letter winner in softball.
The Alverno College Faculty Scholar-Athlete Award was given to Jillian Flood (Sr., Racine, Wis./Walden III) and Jenna Schwalbach (Sr., Zion, Ill./Zion-Benton). This award recognizes the academic excellence of the student-athlete. Flood and Schwalbach are both four-year letter winners in cross country.
