Alverno Community Conference

Community Conference

    Empowering Women 

               March 29, 2019, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.                             

    The annual Alverno Community Conference invites students, faculty, staff and alums, and the greater Milwaukee community to create opportunities for dialogue and exchange around a central, interdisciplinary theme. For 2019, the conference will focus on the theme, Empowering Women. The conference will kick-off with an inspiring keynote speaker followed by concurrent workshops, a panel presentation by Alverno students and alums, additional workshops, concluding with a lunch celebration filled with music and hands-on art activities. Daytime classes are canceled during the conference to allow for maximum participation.

     Griselda Aldrete, President and CEO,                                                   Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM)
    Griselda Aldrete is the president and CEO of Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM). Her primary responsibly is to work in coordination with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the vision and strategic plan for the organization. She has far-reaching experience in community leadership and outreach, financial oversight and managing day-to-day operations of complex organizations. 
    Aldrete has been recognized for and received a number of prominent awards for her community service and advancement of Hispanics. Click here for more information about Aldrete.
