Application FAQs
Applications for all Alverno programs are currently accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, so you can apply at any time.
Applying to Alverno's undergraduate programs, degree completion programs, and graduate programs other than the DEMSN is 100% free.
The DEMSN program's application costs $80.
To complete your application, you will need your official transcripts from all institutions attended (transcripts and e-transcripts are "official" when they come in a sealed envelope and direct email from the issuing institution).
Different programs have different requirements for applications. The application portal will guide you through the process.
To apply for the Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN), a graduate program designed for students with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), click here. Once you create an account, you can choose to apply for the Milwaukee, WI location, the Mesa, AZ location, or both.

Once you have submitted your completed application and we have received your required documents, you can expect to hear back within around two weeks.
An admissions counselor will get in touch and let you know that your application has been reviewed.
Alverno College is test optional, so you do not need to submit ACT or SAT scores in order for us to make a decision for your application.
Most graduate applications require recommendations. There is a space at the end of the application in which you can upload supplemental items to the application. Your admissions counselor can also help to answer questions.
You do not need to submit any financial documents during your application. However, you will need information from tax documents when filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Alverno's school code for the FAFSA is 003832.
