Miss Alverno 2013
Miss Alverno is not your stereotypical beauty pageant; in fact it is not a beauty pageant at all! This annual event gives Alverno students the opportunity to show their growth in the Alverno Abilities and their involvement in the college. Through an essay, interview, and talent performance, the participants will show how they are excelling in the abilities, whether through school involvement, educational growth, or community involvement, and how they are using these abilities to prepare to become active Alverno alumnae.
Contestants will participate in five categories:
- Getting to know the contestant (casual wear)
- Talent
- Dressing for the occasion (formal wear)
- Interview (business attire)
- Candidates' choice
Miss Alverno will be held in the Mug on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The event is completely free to all participants and audience members.
