For example, will learn to:
1. Analyze societies and the world around you.
2. Conduct research and use data professionally.
3. Interact and make value-based decisions effectively in a multicultural world.
Opportunities for students
Alverno students are able to attend the
Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) Women and Public Policy seminars. Participating students spend 10 days in Washington visiting Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court and public interest organizations, and make extensive contacts with women in leadership positions.
Students take part in one off-campus internship in a project related to her career and academic interests. While most internships are in Milwaukee, some take place in Madison, Washington and other cities.
Students can travel and study abroad. They can take courses that include study trips to foreign countries or study abroad for an entire semester.
