If you are seeking advice or guidance on your writing, speaking or reading assignments, the Communication Resource Center provides one-on-one, drop-in assistance and half-hour appointments.
The Communication Resource Center is staffed by trained students who have been recommended as assistants by faculty because of their success in communication and their ability to work with others. They’ll conference with you and respond to your individual questions and concerns, providing input regarding prewriting and brainstorming, mapping, establishing thesis statements, developing and organizing ideas, revising, analyzing and comprehending or proofreading and editing. They offer suggestions, but you make the final decisions regarding your assignment.
The Communication Resource Center is located in the Computer Center, Room RC109D, so you’ll have access to word processing and other software applications that support writing, speaking and reading processes, and you’ll also have access to reserved rooms to practice your presentations.
