Academics
Alverno College offers more than 60
program areas of study in its undergraduate Weekday and Weekend College timeframes. These programs reflect majors, minors and associate degrees. They are contained within four schools: School of Business, School of Education, School of Nursing, and School of Arts and Sciences. Within the School of Arts and Sciences are the divisions of Arts, Communication & Technology; Behavioral Sciences; Humanities; and Natural Sciences, Mathematics & Technology.
Alverno also offers, in its Weekend College timeframe, the following
graduate programs for women and men:
Alverno also offers academic support services for
prospective and current students, and an internship program for
Weekday College students to help prepare them for their chosen field
after graduation. In addition, Alverno offers a web-based portfolio,
which enables students to track their academic progress while at
Alverno.
So, what else makes assessment different for students? We call that difference "student assessment-as- learning."
To learn how students evaluate their learning experiences, read this report (pdf) which reviews our data and helps prospective students and their families use results from NSSE – the National Survey of Student Engagement.
