Internet and information systems?

effective communication, ethical valuing and problem solving.
Students who major in Computing and Information
Technology can choose courses that provide preparation for positions such as
- Business Systems Analyst
- Web Technology Specialist
- Information Technology Specialist
Internships
for real-life experience
All Computing and Information Technology majors complete at least
one semester-long internship at a local business, agency or research
site. You might be involved in Web-site development, or in system
implementation and maintenance. Your assignment may be as a project
leader, or assisting an organization through a computer conversion
by use of effective communication, training and change management.
Your internship is where youll gain the hands-on experience
of what a working computer specialist does, with direction from
an on-site mentor. Youll also make career contacts you can
use for jobs or additional experience. During your internship, youll
meet regularly with a faculty instructor and other interns in a
seminar at Alverno to discuss problems, reflect on experiences and
celebrate advances.
