Management and Technology
Alverno's Communication, Management and Technology
major (CMT) is designed to enhance your leadership skills while
preparing you to manage the emerging technology and changing communication
approaches in today’s organizations.
This degree program combines core courses in business
management, professional communication, and computing and information technology with
three key integrative courses at the introductory, intermediate
and advanced levels. An emphasis on networking—personal, technical,
and organizational—helps you discover the connections among
individuals, organizations and global society while developing professional
contacts to advance your own career.
Areas
of Specialization
Instead of selecting a minor, you will choose electives to build
a specialization in a professional area of your choice. Some examples
of specializations include:
- training and development
- technical communication
- organizational communication
- marketing management
- human resource management
- advertising and public relations
- information technology (IT)
