In today's global environment, all business is international
business. Even the smallest organization uses concepts and products
from a range of countries, and markets goods and services to a culturally
varied audience.
Alverno's International Business major, grounded in the liberal arts, helps you integrate international business and management studies with an understanding of a culturally diverse world. Our major combines international studies with courses from business, management, economics, social science, global studies, foreign language, field experience and an optional semester abroad to develop graduates who can provide leadership and advocacy in varied business and cultural settings. You will be exposed to the political, economic and social realities of the world economy, and develop the knowledge, experience and abilities required to be successful in this fascinating world of international business.

Our business faculty
Our International Business major is housed in the college's School of Business. Our faculty have advanced degrees and professional experience in the fields of business, management, consulting, accounting, public accounting, finance, economics, political science, psychology, non-profit management, organizational studies and anthropology. In addition, our adjunct faculty offer our majors a wealth of domestic and international business experience.
