Mary Lou Kopp is an associate professor of nursing at Alverno College where she has taught since 2021. She also serves as the program director for the Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN) program.
Her teaching experience includes undergraduate and graduate nursing, and her nursing career has included medical-surgical, home care, hospice and staff education.
Kopp earned her Bachelor of Science of Nursing at Concordia College, her Master of Nursing Education at Concordia University Wisconsin, and her PhD in Nursing Education at Capella University. She is also a certified hospice and palliative care nurse, as well as a certified nurse educator. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Wisconsin League for Nursing, and serves as president of the Tau Mu chapter of Sigma, the international honor society of nursing.
